Working Pattern:
- Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:00pm
- Friday: 7:30am – 1:30pm
Treo is recruiting an experienced HSEQ Manager to oversee Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality compliance across heavy engineering operations at two sites in Gainsborough and Blyton.
Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, this is a key role for a competent, confident professional who can lead from the front and embed a strong safety and quality culture throughout the business.
Key Responsibilities: Health & Safety
- Develop, implement and maintain HSEQ policies, procedures and safe systems of work
- Ensure compliance with UK health & safety legislation and industry standards
- Conduct risk assessments, job safety analyses and hazard identification
- Lead accident, incident and near-miss investigations, implementing corrective actions
- Deliver safety training, toolbox talks, inductions and emergency drills
- Ensure correct use of PPE and safe operation of heavy machinery and lifting equipment
- Support general site and facility safety functions
Environmental Management
- Implement and maintain environmental management plans
- Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and permits
- Monitor waste management, emissions, spill control and environmental risks
- Promote environmental awareness and continuous improvement
Quality Management
- Develop, implement and maintain the Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001
- Conduct internal and external audits, inspections and quality checks
- Manage non-conformances (NCRs), corrective and preventive actions
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across operations
Reporting & Leadership
- Prepare HSEQ reports, KPIs and compliance documentation
- Advise senior management on HSEQ risks, trends and improvement opportunities
- Participate in management reviews and project planning meetings
- Act as the main HSEQ point of contact across both sites
About You:
- Proven experience in a senior HSEQ role within heavy engineering or manufacturing
- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent)
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001
- Excellent understanding of UK HSE and environmental legislation
- Confident communicator able to influence at all levels
- Highly organised, self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities
Desirable:
- Experience with lifting operations, welding, fabrication, structural steel, pressure vessels or heavy equipment
