Job Description:

Teaching Support Mentor

Doncaster £12.21 Per hour (negotiable based on experience)
Monday – Friday, Term Time Only (8:30am – 4:00pm)

Are you passionate about helping young people reach their full potential?
Do you believe in second chances, personal growth, and the power of opportunity?

Our partner is not your typical post-16 college, they are a specialist business, enterprise and employability provision that helps young people with additional needs lead, believe, achieve, and exceed. Our learners are aged 16–25, many with Autism or EHCPs, and we exist to prepare them for meaningful, sustainable employment and independence.

Now, we’re looking for values-driven, adaptable and positive individuals to join our growing team as Teaching Support Mentor. You don’t need to have experience in education — we’re looking for the right person, not just the right CV. If you’ve got great life skills, patience, and a desire to make a genuine impact, we’ll give you all the training and support you need.

What you’ll do:

  • Support teaching staff to deliver engaging, skills-based lessons that prepare students for adulthood and the workplace.
  • Mentor and motivate learners, helping them develop confidence, independence and employability.
  • Assist with projects, workplace visits and real-life experiences.
  • Create a safe, inclusive environment where every learner feels valued and respected.
  • Be a positive role model, championing our values — Lead, Believe, Achieve, Exceed.

What we’re looking for:

  • A caring, adaptable and proactive mindset.
  • Strong communication and people skills.
  • A passion for helping others grow and succeed.
  • Experience supporting young people (formal or informal) is helpful, but not essential.

What’s in it for you:

  • 15 weeks paid holiday – more than the education standard!
  • Fully funded training and CPD up to Level 6.
  • Flexible working for dependents and appointments.
  • Private healthcare (Westfield Health).
  • Cycle to Work Scheme.
  • Free flu jabs & fortnightly meditation sessions.
  • Staff socials, sports kit and invites to corporate events – all fully funded!
  • A genuine opportunity to make a difference every day.
