Sous Chef – Doncaster City Centre
We’re on the lookout for a talented and motivated Sous Chef to join our kitchen team at our busy Doncaster city centre venue. This is the perfect role for an ambitious chef looking to take the next step in their career, working alongside an experienced Head Chef in a fast-paced and exciting environment.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations.
- Taking charge of the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence.
- Assisting in menu development, food preparation, and service delivery.
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, safety, and compliance.
- Helping to manage stock, control costs, and minimise waste.
- Mentoring and supporting junior members of the team.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong experience as a Senior Chef de Partie in a busy kitchen.
- A team player with strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent cooking skills with a genuine passion for food.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety practices.
