Class 1 HGV Driver Days – Permanent Positions | £15.81

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while transporting goods across various locations. This role requires expertise in flatbed driving and a solid understanding of commercial driving regulations. As a HGV Class 1 Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest standards of service.

Duties

• Operate flatbed lorries to transport goods safely and efficiently to designated locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in optimal working condition.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
• Load and unload cargo as necessary, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
• Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any queries or concerns from clients.

Experience

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
• Valid commercial driving licence (C licence) with a clean driving record.
• Experience with flatbed lorries is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with local routes and traffic patterns is an advantage.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
