Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Children’s Support Workers to join our team. You will be responsible for ensuring the wellbeing and safety of a child with autism, learning disabilities, and challenging behaviour, providing professional care and support. Key duties include supporting the child with various tasks to enhance their quality of life, safeguarding, administering medication and completing reports.

Duties

• Support the child with all routines including morning and evening, medication and seeking opportunities to engage with the child.
• To maintain skills at a current level and undertake such training and development for your role.

Skills

• Experience of working in a similar role
• A proactive approach to working in a challenging environment
• An understanding of, but not limited to; medical, cognitive, and mental health conditions which affect children.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Pay: £ 13.50 – £ 15.00 per hour, dependant on qualifications

12-hour shifts, days and waking nights

Experience: Residential care 1 year (required)

Qualifications: Level 3 or 4 in Residential Childcare (Desirable) – If candidate does not have either of these then as per regulations, they would be expected to start a qualification after 6 months probationary period and complete this within 2 years.
