Treo Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with a residential childcare provider in Southport to recruit passionate and committed Residential Support Workers.

The Role

As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting the physical, emotional and social wellbeing of children and young people within the home.

You will help create a safe, supportive and stable environment while promoting positive behaviour, independence and personal development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people at all times
  • Support young people with daily routines, structure and boundaries
  • Build positive and professional relationships with young people
  • Act as a positive role model within the home
  • Deliver key work sessions and direct support
  • Support leisure activities, education and personal development
  • Work alongside colleagues, families and external professionals
  • Complete reports, records and documentation accurately
  • Participate in team meetings, supervision and training
  • Support the home in maintaining high safeguarding and care standards
  • Fulfil sleep-in duties as part of the rota

Experience & Qualifications

Essential

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Ability to work shifts and sleep-ins
  • Commitment to safeguarding and care standards

Desirable

  • Experience working with children and young people
  • Residential childcare experience
  • NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards)
  • Background in care, youth work, education or support work
