The Opportunity

As Chef de Partie, you’ll take ownership of your section, ensuring every dish is prepared, cooked and presented to the highest standards.

You’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional food across the restaurant, weddings, conferences, private functions and special events, helping create memorable experiences for every guest.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to consistently high standards
  • Taking ownership of your section and ensuring it is fully prepared for every service
  • Completing daily mise en place efficiently and maintaining excellent organisation
  • Following recipes, portion controls and presentation standards
  • Supporting the Sous Chef, Head Chef and Executive Chef during busy service periods
  • Coaching and supporting Commis Chefs and junior kitchen team members
  • Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering requirements
  • Helping reduce food waste through effective stock rotation and portion control
  • Ensuring compliance with food safety, allergen legislation and Health & Safety procedures
  • Correctly storing, labelling and rotating food products
  • Assisting with deliveries, stock takes and kitchen cleaning schedules
  • Working collaboratively with the wider kitchen and front-of-house teams
  • Supporting restaurant service, weddings, banqueting, conferences and events

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience as a Chef de Partie, Demi Chef de Partie, Commis Chef or within a similar professional kitchen
  • Is confident managing their own section during busy service
  • Has a genuine passion for fresh food and high-quality presentation
  • Takes pride in delivering consistently excellent standards
  • Is organised, reliable and able to perform well under pressure
  • Enjoys working as part of a collaborative kitchen brigade
  • Is eager to learn, develop and progress their culinary career
  • Has a sound understanding of food hygiene, HACCP, allergens and Health & Safety
  • Is committed to maintaining a clean, safe and organised kitchen
  • Is flexible to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required
