New Business Account Manager
Location: Grantham 

Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 + Commission

Are you a confident, results-driven sales professional with a passion for building new business? Treo Recruitment are working with a growing business, and we’re looking for a New Business Account Manager to own the generation and conversion of new sales opportunities.

This is a front-line, revenue-driving role where you’ll identify prospects, engage decision-makers, and convert qualified leads into long-term customers. You’ll play a key role in expanding our customer base, opening new markets, and strengthening our commercial footprint.

Key Responsibilities:

New Business Generation

  • Proactively identify and target new business opportunities
  • Research and approach potential customers via phone, email, Teams, and face-to-face meetings
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified prospects
  • Work with the Senior Leadership team to join relevant buying groups

Lead Conversion & Sales Activity

  • Manage inbound leads through the full sales cycle
  • Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate products
  • Prepare proposals, quotations, and follow-ups to secure new business
  • Negotiate and close deals in line with company targets
  • Maintain accurate CRM records

Relationship Building

  • Develop strong relationships with new customers
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and delivery
  • Lay foundations for long-term partnerships and repeat business
  • Strategise with customers to identify growth opportunities

Market & Commercial Insight

  • Keep up-to-date with market trends and competitor activity
  • Report on activity, pipeline, and performance

About You:

  • Proven experience in new business development, sales, or lead generation (B2B, manufacturing, or industrial products preferred)
  • Confident initiating conversations and building rapport
  • Strong commercial awareness and results-driven mindset
  • Comfortable managing a sales pipeline and working to targets
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and follow-up skills
  • Organised, proactive, and able to work independently
