Communications Officer (Part-Time, 12 Month Fixed Term)
18.5 hours per week (over 3 days)
Salary: £27,755 – £28,641 (pro rata)
Treo Recruitment is working closely with a Charity partner in looking for a creative and passionate Communications Officer to help share the impact of their work supporting women, children and families across Sheffield, Doncaster and Rotherham.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys content creation, social media management and engaging storytelling. You’ll help showcase the life-changing work our teams deliver, grow our community of supporters, and strengthen relationships with partners and funders.
Key Responsibilities
- Create engaging digital and visual content using Canva and other tools
- Manage and grow social media channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram)
- Write compelling marketing copy, stories and website content
- Produce a monthly supporter newsletter
- Maintain and update the organisation’s website
- Support award submissions and campaigns that highlight our impact
- Work closely with the Fundraising Manager and wider team
What We’re Looking For
- Strong content creation and Canva design skills
- Excellent copywriting and storytelling ability
- Experience managing social media accounts and digital campaigns
- Familiarity with Mailchimp, CMS websites and Office 365
- A collaborative and organised approach to managing multiple priorities
- Passion for supporting women, children and families
Additional Information
- Location: Sheffield (with travel across services in Doncaster and Rotherham)
- Contract: 12-month fixed term
- Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays (pro rata)
- Mileage: 45p per mile for agreed travel
- DBS: Enhanced DBS check required
